Timm Ringewaldt und Sven Gareis, bekannt als VJ-Duo monitor.automatique,
beschäftigen sich seit 1998 mit interaktiven Videoinstallationen im öffentlichen Raum.
Sie entwickeln experimentelle Computersoftware und Steuerinterfaces, um in Clubs
live Bilder zu erzeugen, zu verfremden und zu arrangieren und um schnell und
intuitiv auf die Atmosphäre im Raum reagieren zu können. Die Palette der
Werkzeuge verändert sich ständig, neue Ausdrucksformen werden erfunden,
verworfen oder verfeinert, wie in den zahlreichen Events in Berliner Clubs, z.B. dem
WMF oder der Maria, zu sehen war.
Timm Ringewaldt and Sven Gareis collectively form the VJ-group
monitor.automatique. Since 1998 they have been creating interactive installations in
public space. They develop experimental software and interfaces, which are used to
create and modify video images during their performances in clubs, allowing them to
react quickly and directly to the music and the atmosphere in the venue. Constantly
adding new features and new content to their toolbox, creating new images. You can
see them live in many Berlin clubs and events.
